When completed I will have transcribed the entirety of Emily Wilson's translation of the Illiad, Homer's magnificent poem set on a battlefield. (There are so many battlefields now, in 2025, it breaks my heart) I want to immerse myself, and viewers in ancient poetry and many shades of the blues in a wine dark sea. The paper is handmade with pigments and indigo dye and much of the paper will be woven into other pieces of paper. These are process pictures. And the process of transcribing will be long. So there will need to be another post when all is done.
